Program

Day 1: Meet

We will pick you up at the train station and transport you to your accommodation at the Hjerkinn Mountain Lodge. For supper you will be served traditional mountain food, made from produce from the area, and we will go through the details of the days ahead.

Day 2: The Mountains

After breakfast we will pedal straight out from the Mountain Lodge and hit the beuatiful trails between Hjerkinn and Folldal. Halfway down to Folldal we will get a transport to the old mining museum in Folldal where we will enjoy lunch before we hit the trails again. We will follow old natural trails through some of the most scenic mountains in the area, and we finish with an epic descent all the way back to the valley. Our lodging is at the rustique Kvebergsøya farm hotel, and after a delicious meal from local produce we get a good night sleep and get ready for the next day.

Distance: 30 km
700 hm climb – 900 hm descent

Day 3: The Cableway

After a solid breakfast we will embark on the planned route of the day. We will follow the old trails from the historic mines in the area, and specifically the trail of the cableway connecting the mines with the railway in Alvdal. We finish our tour with a refreshingly fun descent from the top of the old cableway and down to our lodging at Urørt lodge which will be our base for the next two nights.

Distance 32 km
500 hm climb – 1000 hm descent

Day 4: Mt. Tron

After breakfast we will get a transport Mt. Tron, where we will be shuttled up to a mountain plateau at 1300 meters on Norway’s second highest lying mountain road. From the plateau we have 800 vertical meters of fantastic singletrack down to the valley floor, and we can pick and choose among some of the best mountain biking Norway has to offer.

Weather

Even though most of our tours are hosted in some of the driest areas of Norway, we will still be in the mountains and above the tree line for a longer period of time on most of our tours. At all times follow the instructions of your guide, and use the issued packing lists as reference to get the most out of your tour!
