Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival in Barcelona and transport from the airport to Biescas. Accommodation and dinner in Biescas, and briefing of the routes for the upcoming 6 days.

Day 2

We will discover hidden jewels such as the incredible descents of Gavin and Erata. The paths around Biescas are the best in Spain. 6 uplifts with 4×4 and over 3000 vertical meters of beautiful singletrack. In the evening we will have a guided tour around San Juan de la Peña monastery, and we finish with “From Tapa to Tapa” on popular bars in Jaca.

Day 3

High mountain descents with short pedal sections, accumulating up to an average of 4000 vertical meters. Variety of soils, forests, meadows, roots and rocks. Dinner with Spanish paella and accommodation in Biescas

Day 4

We start off with a transport to Ainsa, and will explore the trails of the Enduro World Series of 2015 in Ainsa. Natural slopes and climbing secions with smaller and less steep slopes than the previous day. In the evening we will have a guided tour of the medieval Old Town of Ainsa, and dinner in a typical Aragonese restaurant in the Plaza Mayor of Ainsa.

Day 5

We will travel some of the trails of the Enduro World Series 2018 in Ainsa. Incredible views from the top: the Central Pyrenees, snow-capped peaks of Monte Perdido (3,355 m) and the beautiful medieval villages of the Pre-Pyrenees of Huesca. 3 enormous uplifts which give us over 2000 vertical meters of descents. Visit, wine-tasting and lunch at Bodega D.O. Somontano. Dinner and accommodation in Ainsa.

Dag 6

Following a hearty breakfast we will be transported from Ainsa to Huesca where we will spend the last two days. We will travel on route to the south of the Sierra de Guara Natural Park and its deep canyons. A total of 4 uplifts and more than 25 kilometers of magnificent singletracks awaits. We finish the day with a visit to the Old Town and Cathedral of Huesca, and dinner at a Michelin Star restaurant in Huesca.

Day 7

On the last day we will have 3 uplifts and follow routes through Mallos de Riglos and Sierra de Loarre, two of the most picturesque places in the region. In the evening we will visit the Romanesque castle of Loarre, and have a farewell-dinner in charming Huesca.

Day 8

Transport to the airport in the morning, and departure.

The area

The Pyrenees

This tour is hosted in the southern parts of the Pyrenees, which has a nice and warm climate. This allows biking year round, even though the highest areas will attract some snow in the winter. The area is famous for its alpine peaks, medieval towns, and large swathes of uninhabited valleys. Perfect for mountain biking!

The Aragonese parts of the Pyrenees are among many considered to be the best mountain bike-destination in Spain, which is also reflected by the fact that they have been hosts for the Enduro World Series both in 2015 and 2018.
